We hope you enjoyed Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson as our last StoryWalk® and we are thrilled to bring you our next title, The Mitten: a Ukrainian folktale by Jan Brett. Look for it beginning January10th!
The Mitten is the perfect cozy read-aloud for the youngest listeners. Find out the story of several animals sleeping snugly in Nicki’s lost mitten until the bear sneezes!
StoryWalk® is a wonderful way for children — and adults! — to enjoy reading and walking the shelves at Butler at the same time. Laminated pages from a children’s book are installed along the perimeter of the Children’s area. Following a path, you’re directed to each page in the story. At the end, you have read a whole book!
Storyboards start in the front of the Children’s area and you follow the story along on the numbered signs. Please take a moment to scan our QR code at the end so we may track the number of people who have read the story.
We have more stories we are working on, we’ll let you know when the next one goes up!
All of our StoryWalks® are sponsored by Friends of the Butler Library. Thank you!!
StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and has developed with the help of Rachel Senechal, Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
