Building for This Generation and for Those to Come…..
The Friends of the Butler Library was started by a group who just wanted to help. In 1997, the Friends became incorporated and agreed to raise the funds necessary to buy land and build and equip a new and larger facility. The new library opened in December, 2008.
Since then, the Friends Group has supported the library in many ways, most notably, funding of the programs. We have also held Valentine’s Day parties, hosted Santa and Mrs. Claus, purchased prizes for the Summer Reading program, and purchased handouts for the Christmas Parade. If you would like to be a part of this fun group, please contact the library!
Mission Statement: The Friends seek to promote the library programs, resources and services available to the community. Our primary mission is to raise funds to help support and improve the library!
