NaNoWriMo - Come-Write-In

The Butler Library is excited to offer area writers another year of support through the Come-Write-In program. Our conference room doors will be open to writers every Thursday in November from 5:30-7:30pm. This space will be open for writers of all ages and paper, pencils, light snacks and beverages will be offered to attendees. Also a weekly writing prompt will be available to help writers get their creative juices flowing.

If you are a part of the NaNoWriMo community, the goal is to write 1,000 Words a day for 30 days. The Come-Write-In spaces that are available at many libraries, books stores and such are a wonderful way to stay motivated and gain momentum. If you are interested in registering go to to sign up. There are many amazing options to help inspire writers because Your Story Matters!

We Want Your Opinion!

We Want Your Opinion!

Take our library survey:

Does your opinion count? It certainly does to the staff of the Butler Public Library, Friends of the Library, and the Library Board! The Friends and the Board are currently conducting a survey of current and future patrons. What services are most valuable to you? If you do use the library, what do you use it for? What kinds of programs and special events would you like to see – and help with – in future months?

Your opinions can be shared with the staff at the Library at any time, of course. Until December 31st, you can also share your thoughts via an on-line survey. Please use the following link to send us your valuable opinion and thoughts about our public library. It is a short survey, but the results are very important to all of us.
