In honor of Carol’s legacy, we introduce the Carol Zuba Travel Collection. Our library would not be what it is today without Carol Zuba’s dedication. She has played many parts in the history of the Butler Public Library: President of the Library Board, fundraiser for our current library building, President of the Friends of the Butler Library, in-house elf during the Mr. and Mrs. Clause visits, trivia host, and someone always ready to chat about crocheting, reading, and traveling. We are so lucky to have known Carol and to call her friend. She has made such a lasting impact on our library and our community.
The inspiration for this collection came from Carol herself. Before she passed, Carol donated a few books she purchased on her trip to Belize. These books became the first additions to start off the collection.
This collection is a community-built effort. Community members are welcome to donate travel-related books for all ages. Whether you knew Carol personally or not, we welcome you to share your trips, travels, and dream destinations with the community. From guides used during past travels to local books picked up on trips around the US or abroad, we want to share Carol’s love of travel with our community.
Carol loved to travel with her family and friends. We hope that with this collection, a little piece of Carol will keep traveling throughout the world. We can’t wait to see how this collection grows.

* Donation to the library does not ensure items will be added to the library collection. Materials must meet our guidelines as detailed in our Collection Development Policy.
