Building the future of the library for all patrons and community members.
What is a Memorial Brick?
These bricks can be engraved to honor a loved one who has passed, memorialize a family name, or simply show support for libraries. These are placed outside of our main door. Next time you visit the library, take a look!
Memorial Bricks are an attractive way to memorialize gifts to the Butler Public Endowment at the library. However, you can take your brick home if you wish. You can also provide a gift without receiving a brick. The choice is yours.
What is the Endowment Fund?
Like any retirement or investment fund, our Fund earns interest and grows over time. It is a perfect way to assure that the Library continues to service future generations. The fund is invested with the Waukesha County Community Foundation. Check them out: https://waukeshafoundation.org
Why Does the Library Have an Endowment Fund?
We recognize that small libraries and their communities are challenged with rising costs. Taxpayer support for our library budget is at the mercy of things beyond our control. Through our Fund we provide some security to help our budgets remain strong into the future.
Why Would You Give?
A gift to the Endowment Fund means investing in generations to come. Regardless of the amount, your contribution stays in the fund to produce interest. Only the income from the Fund will be used to bolster the Library’s budget. Your gift remains to support the Library year after year.
What are the Giving Levels for Memorial Bricks?
